545 vs. 300,000,000
EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT
THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.

545 PEOPLE–By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them..

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the
Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits…. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power..

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees….

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it…….. Is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren’t so darned true. Be sure to read all the way to the end:
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he’s fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid…

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me
to my doom…’

When he’s gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax..

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’

GO AHEAD – - – BE AN AMERICAN!!! Stand up for what you believe in, even if it is not popular.

Thank you,

Today we do not have it “as good as it use to be” the fact of the matter is that we have allowed our values to be striped away for the connivence of just about anything you can think of, now a days both parents have to work in order to pay for our ever-growing need for “things”. Now I have to admit a good part of those “things” are bills like the gas bill and the electric bill, but really how many cars do you need, how many of us Need the internet? How many of us Need all the cell phone with all the bells and whistles? How many of us really Need the gaming systems? And how many of us have more than one of all of these? Quite a few I would bet.

SO now that we are not able to parent our own children, either because of our total lack of responsibility or the fact that we have to work long hours for pay that is way higher than it should be because of the fact that everything cost a lot more than it is worth. We now have to rely on others Like television, video games, teachers, nanny’s, babysitters, and yes our Government.

Can you think of anyone of those I mentioned that are really a good idea? Do you really want any of the above to be the one parenting your children? Ok so you are now pissed at me because you are a teacher, right. Well you are a left winged Bleeding heart tree hugging liberal jack-ass that I do not want teaching my children anything anyway, so be pissed, I really don’t care. Moving on.

For some of you it is very convenient to have big brother raise your children from cradle to grave, hell some of you are those children that have been raised by our government, and I really think that is why you sit by and let Mommy or Daddy Congress, do as they please without question. Assuming yo u can read, since you are in-fact reading this try some books, or some historical documents.

Our so called Leader had to read a lot of books, yet still see fit to keep raping our countryman and woman with ever action they do while in office. So I ask you this? What do we do with Parents that are abusive to their children? Do we not prosecute them and imprison them? Then why do we not apply that here? WHY do we not call for accountability from our elected officials?

Think about it folks, are we really going to allow our government to decide who lives or dies, because the cost of the surgery might mean they will not get to go on another tax-payer paid junket. If you continue to let our government parent you and your children, sit silently by while they do as they please all the while striping away everything our ancestors worked and died for. Then you deserve everything you get. Stand up! Make your voice herd! Tell them we will not sit quite anymore, we are taking our country back. For all of you who have served in our military First I would like to thank you for your service! Second I would remind you it is your duty, remember the oath you took “I will defend the United States Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic” it is your duty to defend the United States Constitution. For those who have not served in our military, it is your duty too all who have served to keep you free, to do the same.

Looking at the state of affairs now days I am reminded of a book I read, from Lee Iacocca former Leader of GM, hell he was GM. But he ran General Motors Corporation and when he was in charge they had there share of crisis but he was able to work through them and keep the company a float, our so called leader could take a lesson from a man like this, don't get me wrong, I am sure he is not perfect, maybe he stole some candy from the store when he was little I really don't know, but he showed a level of competence that only a few of our leaders have shown in the past few years. Most of them are in it for them, very few and the number keeps getting smaller each year could care less what you think most of them really think they can do what ever they want and just lie about it, hell look at the current President as he really even deserves that title.

The fact of the matter, "The Hard Truth" if you will is that the biggest part of the problem is you, and by you i mean the masses that sit idle by while these corporate elite's take more of our liberties and push what ever they want down our throats and you just keep swallowing it and asking for more, do you really think these people are any smarter than you or I, what you do not realize is that most of the people you look up to are just as F'ed up as you, they are just better at lying about it.

Our Country and all that it stands for, is being killed by so called "political correctness" God forbid we should offend anyone, wait I guess I should not have brought God in to it, Jay Leno had a good point we have storms tearing apart our country from every coast, our debt is the largest it has ever been, we are hated around the world, "do you really think now is the time we should be talking about taking God out of everything". For those of you who have read my stuff before you know I am not a bible thumper by any stretch of the imagine, and i really could care less what you believe in, but believe this, we are all in this together! there is no way out for any of us till we stand up and to take the great sound bite from Lee Iacocca "throw the bums out!" These people work for us, and with that said we are the stupidest employer in the world!

If you are not Outraged!! then either you are not paying attention or you are just plain ignorant! Below is some stuff paraphrased from Lee Iacocca's Book "Where have all the leaders gone?"

Our Country and all that it stands for, is being killed by so called “political correctness” God forbid we should offend anyone, wait I guess I should not have brought God in to it, Jay Leno had a good point we have storms tearing apart our country from every coast, our debt is the largest it has ever been, we are hated around the world, “do you really think now is the time we should be talking about taking God out of everything”. For those of you who have read my stuff before you know I am not a bible thumper by any stretch of the imagine, and i really could care less what you believe in, but believe this, we are all in this together! there is no way out for any of us till we stand up and to take the great sound bite from Lee Iacocca “throw the bums out!” These people work for us, and with that said we are the stupidest employer in the world!

If you are not Outraged!! then either you are not paying attention or you are just plain ignorant! Below is some stuff paraphrased from Lee Iacocca’s Book “Where have all the leaders gone?”

Lee Iacocca says in his book:

‘Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder! We’ve got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, ‘Stay the course’.

Stay the course? You’ve got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned, ‘Titanic’. I’ll give you a sound bite: ‘Throw all the bums out!’

You might think I’m getting senile, that I’ve gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore.

The most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the guys in handcuffs. While we’re fiddling in Iraq, the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the press is waving ‘pom-poms’ instead of asking hard questions. That’s not the promise of the ‘America’ my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for. I’ve had enough. How about you?

I’ll go a step further.. You can’t call yourself a patriot if you’re not outraged. This is a fight I’m ready and willing to have. The Biggest ‘C’ is Crisis ! (Iacocca elaborates on nine C’s of leadership, with crisis being the first.)

Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is forged in times of crisis. It’s easy to sit there with your feet up on the desk and talk theory. Or send someone elses kids off to war when you’ve never seen a battlefield yourself. It’s another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling down.

On September 11, 2001, we needed a strong leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A hell of a mess, so here’s where we stand.

We’re immersed in a bloody war with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving.

We’re running the biggest deficit in the history of the country.

We’re losing the manufacturing edge to Asia , while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered by health care costs.

Gas prices are skyrocketing, and nobody in power has a coherent energy policy. Our schools are in trouble.

Our borders are like sieves.

The middle class is being squeezed every which way.

These are times that cry out for leadership.

But when you look around, you’ve got to ask: ‘Where have all the leaders gone?’ Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point.

Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo?

We’ve spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all we know how to do is react to things that have already happened.

Name me one leader who emerged from the crisis of Hurricane Katrina. Congress has yet to spend a single day evaluating the response to the hurricane or demanding accountability for the decisions that were made in the crucial hours after the storm.

Everyone’s hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping it doesn’t happen again. Now, that’s just crazy. Storms happen. Deal with it. Make a plan. Figure out what you’re going to do the next time.

Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when ‘The Big Three’ referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, what are we going to do about it?

Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit, or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem without a TELEPROMPTER. The silence is deafening. But these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.

I have news for the gang in Congress. We didn’t elect you to sit on your asses and do nothing and remain silent while our democracy is being hijacked and our greatness is being replaced with mediocrity. What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on CNN will call them a name? Give me a break. Why don’t you guys show some spine for a change?

Had Enough? Hey, I’m not trying to be the voice of gloom and doom here. I’m trying to light a fire. I’m speaking out because I have hope – I believe in America . In my lifetime, I’ve had the privilege of living through some of America ’s greatest moments. I’ve also experienced some of our worst crises: The ‘Great Depression,’ ‘World War II,’ the ‘Korean War,’ the ‘Kennedy Assassination,’ the ‘Vietnam War,’ the 1970’s oil crisis, and the struggles of recent years culminating with 9/11.

If I’ve learned one thing, it’s this: ‘You don’t get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody else to take action. Whether it’s building a better car or building a better future for our children, we all have a role to play. That’s the challenge I’m raising in this book. It’s a “Call to Action” for people who, like me, believe in America ‘. It’s not too late, but it’s getting pretty close. So let’s shake off the crap and go to work. Let’s tell’ em all we’ve had ‘enough.’

Make your own contribution by sending this to everyone you know and care about… It’s our country, folks, and it’s our future. Our future is at stake!!

Fellow Patriots,

After millions of Americans made their voices clear in summer “tea parties” and town halls and again in last week’s elections – DEMOCRATS have decided the best response is to RAM GOVERNMENT-CONTROLLED HEALTH CARE DOWN OUR THROATS. And showing an extreme lack of courage they’ve done it just minutes ago – under cover of darkness, at almost midnight on a Saturday night – when no one is watching!

I’VE HAD IT.

And that’s all we’re going to take. WE WILL NOW MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD IN A WAY THEY WON’T FORGET. Please join with me and 6,000+ other FreedomTorch members to contribute to our 2010 FreedomTorch Revolution Fund which will begin in January of next year. If we all pull together we can raise several hundred thousand dollars to use in support of CONSTITUTIONALLY CONSERVATIVE candidates next year, and we can start throwing the bums out!

We will start replacing one-by-one the people who voted for this socialist monstrosity of a bill. And we will go on from there, replacing leftists and liberals with Constitutional Conservatives.

Please join my mailing list for this effort by CLICKING HERE: I will use that list to ORGANIZE the FreedomTorch Revolution.

WE WILL NOT LET THEM DESTROY AMERICA.

I can’t stand to see plastic-smile Nancy Pelosi proclaiming victory a single more time! LET’S STOP HER!

Please invite your conservative friends to join our revolution. The more people we have on board the more impact we’ll have next year.

Keep Standing Up and Speaking Out!

Now here is a guy who has a great Idea let get out there and support him.

House Resolution 615

Over the past few weeks, members of Congress and the American people have come to know the details of the Administration’s proposed health care plan. Call it whatever you like, I believe this proposal is nothing more than government-run health care. As a physician, I am amazed at the number of bureaucrats in this House who are quick to claim a government-run health care plan is the reform this country needs. In response to this, I have offered a resolution that will offer members of Congress an opportunity to put their money where their mouth is, and urge their colleagues who vote for legislation creating a government-run health care plan to lead by example and enroll themselves in the same public plan.

Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill. If Members of Congress believe so strongly that government-run health care is the best solution for hard working American families, I think it only fitting that Americans see them lead the way. Public servants should always be accountable and responsible for what they are advocating.
Together we will work to ensure that any plan that is good enough for American families is good enough for every member of Congress.

Pass this around to everyone you know post it in all the political groups you are part of, let get this guy the support he needs to shut down the big machine. Write your Congressman and Senators tell them you want them to support this resolution.

Remember why we find someone who is willing to do what is right for the American people we have to support them.
