Time For A Review

Ok folks it has been a long time coming, and it will not be easy nor will we like having to do it, but it is time for some spring cleaning, time to take out the trash so to speak, yea I know no one likes to do any of the above, but think of our Laws like that, could you imagine leaving all the paper you ever wrote on lay around your house, the notes you wrote to yourself about grocery shopping, quite a bit of the paper you have laying about would not be applicable any longer since you had already done with it what you needed. I think that our laws passed are about the same, we need to go through everyone of them and the ones we still use and are applicable today we keep and the one that do not make any sense we repeal the ones that are in direct violation of our constitution are the first to go. That’s right lets call for a review of every law passed, we need to know it does not violate our rights, as well we need to know it serves “We The People” and not “Them” you know them, they, etc… the no named people who are in the middle of every conspiracy theory. No really think about it, there has been a lot of legislation here in the last few years that we were not even paying attention to, we need to get a good look at the laws that are being passed and see if we think we need those laws, see if they are inline with our values and our constitutional rights. For instances Congress is looking in to the Bernard Madoff scandal, if you don’t remember this was the guy that made 50 billion disappear, so this guy is being investigated by folks that as of late have made 750 billion disappear with no explanation where it went, now how do you think this is going to turn out?

When the folks that are writing the laws are not following them, maybe we should not have to either, that is why I say we call for a “Law Review” that is a review of all the laws we have ever passed. Do you know many that there are? About 300 new laws per year are passed in the US at least as far back as the 1970’s. you do the math. How in the Hell can you walk out of your house without doing something illegal? More importantly how would you know it was illegal? Now folks it appears common sense is dead, we need to bring it back. So write your senators and your congressmen and congresswomen and tell them you want them to review all the laws that they have passed and repeal all of the laws that are in violation of the US Constitution.

Now some one will say, that is too much work, no that is bullshit our law makers, do not even go look to see if we already have a law that covers the issue, they just pass another one. Go back and revise the current law to have it cover the new issue instead of writing a new law.

the Davis-Bacon Act, because of this law that fixes wages on federally funded projects at more than 20 percent higher than market wages. President Herbert Hoover signed Davis-Bacon into law in 1931. Its original purpose was to prevent local firms from underbidding large national firms. Davis-Bacon then evolved into a kind of windfall bonus for unions. The farm bill was passed in 1933, to help starving farmers at a time when 25 percent of the country lived on farms. Now 2 percent live on farms, and the subsidies go to huge conglomerates. And you still think that we should have these laws in place, yea damn right! Why would we continue to let people use these laws to bleed us dry? Laws get passed everyday in Washington but almost never get repealed. The special interests groups will do anything to prevent anyone from taking their law away. And it is Time to take back our country form “Them”.

ATF Abuse

Our freedoms being striped away!

Would you like to read about what the ATF is up to this site gives the other side of the story you won’t get from the liberal Media, there is a lot of information on this site, it will take a while to get through it all, but I think it is worth the time to read.

“No other Federal agency is as hated as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

This rogue agency has committed such heinous acts as burning to death over 80 men, women and children at Waco; murdered a Mother holding her baby at Ruby Ridge; killed unarmed home owners at various illegal raids nationwide; destroyed honest gun dealers by illegally confiscating millions of dollars of inventory nationwide, and even lying under oath in court!

The BATF operates outside of the law, acting as the “arm breakers” of the US Government, forcing honest gun dealers out of business on a daily basis and attacking their dissenters on trumped-up charges they generically title “firearms violations”.

Their goal?

NO MORE FIREARM SALES WITHIN THE UNITED STATES TO CIVILIANS!

And they will commit any number of illegal acts to achieve that goal, up to and including murder!”

My Letter To Congress

May 11,2009

To the honorable members of the United States House of Representatives.

Please hear us, we beseech you. I have seen a lot of Bad in the world as a retired Police officer, forced to retire do to an act of violence from a criminal while on duty. I have also seen a lot of Good in the world as a Father of two, Uncle of five, Husband to one, and fortunate enough to have call many a man and woman friend in my 38 years of life.

I can only assume that the majority of you joined congress to help others and make a difference as I did when I joined the Police force, and found quite quickly it was not as easy as you thought to go against the majority and do what is right.

I ask this question of you, can a single act of kindness, one truthful act, one decision made with total selflessness, one person with the moral fortitude to do what is right, can they make a difference? I teach my children, friends and family that they can, I have no claim to be such a person, I only try to do what I think is right, many time I am wrong and I have to accept the consequences.

Then why do I ask is it that many in the House, Senate, and government in general do not live by these same principals, why is it that our elected officials who make the laws, do not have to follow them, why when we have document such as our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, why are these ignored? And more importantly why are those people who ignore them not held accountable why are they not called to task?

I have many times taken an oath to uphold the constitution of the United States, the constitution of Ohio and law that govern it. I have acted as best I can to uphold those oaths, and would expect to be held accountable for my actions if I was derelict in my duty to do so, why then is our government officials not held accountable for the gross neglect they have show in the way they have governed our country.

It is time to turn on the lights, each and every member of the house and senate are elected to lead by the people, and if you have not got the message the people are angry. As well they should be. As you sit in Washington voting, our streets are bleeding, as our coffers run dry, you continue to spend money we do not have, as you turn your head as one of your fellow members does something you know is wrong, you get more and more of the blood of our countrymen and woman on your hands. This country was not built as a democracy it was build to be a great republic, as you well know, rule by the governed. the people who know this are education the one who do not. The lights are coming on all over the country the shell game is over, if you stand up and defend the constitution and the American people, you will not stand alone, the people will stand with you!

Regardless of your current situation, you can be that person I described above, and as you make a change so will others, we can get back to a great country we once were, but it will take you to lead the way. I am not asking the impossible, I do not expect you to be perfect, I don’t expect you to not make mistakes, I simply expect you to earn the title you hold “Honorable”

When you make mistakes, own up to them and accept the consequences. Do what is right and just for the American People no one can fault you for that. Too many law are written to contradict “simple common sense” it is time to get back to basics, plain talk, talk to the lowest common denominator, you can articulate your ideas and still sound intelligent and professional while speaking plain English, if you are clear in your message then the liberal news media will have a harder time twisting your words.

I comment The Honorable Ron Paul, he is the man I described above, he is not perfect, he is not always right, but he is trying to do the right thing, he is dedicated to being part of the solution, not part of the problem. For this We the People Thank you Dr. Paul, Keep up the good work. I am sure they are a few more like him up there, but we have not heard of you yet, but it is high time we do, I would love to hear from each and everyone of you, I would welcome your thoughts on what I have said, and what you think is the best way to address the problems we are currently facing, I need not name them all, just look on your desk and I am sure you will find quite a few.

I Ryan Sharrer and We The People of the United States await your response(s)

Thank you for your time,

Ryan Sharrer

Dear Mr. Sharrer:

Thank you for contacting me regarding current issues facing our nation, most notably out of control government spending. I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with me.

I believe that federal government spending is out of control. At a time when we should be finding ways to prioritize and tighten our belts, we find ourselves faced with a proposed Democrat budget that would increase the national debt to $17.1 trillion in five years. Both parties will have a part in fixing the problem, but President Obama’s budget is fiscally irresponsible. Under his plan, we would accumulate more national debt in six years than the total combined national debt accumulated from George Washington to George W. Bush.

This irresponsible, free-spending budget will require an unimaginable sacrifice from our children and grandchildren to correct, forcing them to raise taxes and cut services. In order to pay down the principal on our national debt alone, we would need to run an annual surplus of $1 trillion for twenty-three years. This, despite the fact that America has never run a $1 trillion surplus in any year, let alone for twenty-three.

Under their plan, federal spending would amount to 27.6% of GDP in 2009 and 24.8% of GDP in 2010. Not only would this budget spend at record levels, fiscal years 2009 and 2010 would have the two highest percentages of spending in the nation’s history, with the exception of World War II. Additionally, President Obama’s budget contains proposed tax increases totaling $1.6 trillion over the next ten years.

Over the past several months, financial markets have been saturated with trillions of federal dollars, ranging from the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns, AIG, Wall Street, the automakers, and Citigroup. This is in addition to the President’s $787 billion economic stimulus package to fund a hodgepodge of new spending programs and vastly expand the size and scope of the federal government. In 2008, total federal spending increased by 11 percent, and is expected to dramatically increase again this year due to subsequent bailouts.

As a member of the House Budget Committee and Chairman of the Republican Study Committee Budget and Spending Task Force, I introduced a fiscally-responsible, balanced budget alternative to the plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats. This alternative plan would balance the budget while not increasing taxes, two important provisions that are not found in the Obama budget. This plan eliminates all Congressional earmarks and reduces or eliminates funding for over 150 federal programs that have been determined by the General Accounting Office (GAO) to be an ineffective use of taxpayer dollars. Next, it asks most federal agencies (many of which have received yearly increases in their budgets for decades) to decrease their spending by a meager 1% per year for ten years. Additionally, this budget eliminates cap-and-trade, but increases funding for Medicare and Medicaid at the rate of economic growth and inflation, and protects current law for Social Security.

The American people have made it clear that they are no longer willing to stand idly by and let the government spend at the current rate. This was made very clear at the recent tea parties that I attended. Americans are sick and tired of having more and more intrusive laws continue to be passed. The current Administration and Congressional Democrats have been inching us closer to more socialist ideals with legislation like the GIVE Act, or proposed gun control legislation.

I am passionate about controlling the cost and size of government. I believe the federal budget should have to balance its books, just like families and local/state governments. I will continue to advocate for the pro-growth policies of reduced spending, low taxes, a strong national defense, and traditional family values that will move this country forward in a positive direction. I assure you that I will keep your views in mind as I continue serving the 4th District in Congress.

I hope you will find this information helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any other concerns or questions you may have. You can reach us by phone at (202) 225-2676, or by e-mail through our website at http://jordan.house.gov.

Dear Ryan:

Thank you for your recent communication. It is good to hear from you.

I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. I am always open and willing to hear the views of my constituents. As your elected representative, I have been entrusted by each and every citizen residing in the 8thdistrict of Ohio to represent his or her views, and I will always aim to make change for the common good.

In times of difficulty, leaders of our great country must work, in a bipartisan way where possible, to address the needs of our constituents. I understand that we need to make the changes that Americans have been calling for, but we need to make our decisions wisely so the change is in the right direction. You can be sure that I will remain steadfast in my efforts to make the United States government smaller, less costly, more efficient, and more accountable to the American people.

Thank you again for taking the time to write. Please don’t hesitate to inform me of your concerns in the future. To sign up for email updates, I invite you to visit my website at http://johnboehner.house.gov/Forms/Form/?ID=89.

Sincerely,

Honesty, Honor, and Accountability

I know you have all heard these words, perhaps it has been a long time since, but we know these words, we understand them most people could define them, but how many people can truly say that they practice them?

I read an article on GOOOH By K. A. Atcher today; it made a lot of sense, and it got me thinking. It described quite nicely how we got to where we are at today, with all of our nations problem. He had some great points about how all this started at home and we have to change the way we are at home to get on the road to recovery.

So I thought how many of us can really say that we practice being Honorable in our relationships, our business transactions, and in all aspects of our lives and I don’t mean just when people are watching, or when you think people are watching how many of us really can say that we are honorable? I know we would all like to think we are honorable, but what about that time you went to McDonald’s and they forgot your fries, were you the one who got irate and demanded that they owed you something for this simple mistake, other than the fries you paid for? How bout the time you were at Wal-Mart and the clerk did not charge you for the 24-pack of pop you had on the bottom of the cart, did you go back in and pay for it or did you just think well I spend a lot money there then owed it to me? These are the times we think no one is watching and if we can get away with it, and then we just go on with life like it did not happen. Is this what we are teaching our children? That is ok as long as you get away with it. Are we saying you only have to be accountable for things that people can prove; you only have to be honest if you think you could get caught being dis-honest.

The fact remains that yes this is exactly what we are teaching our youth today, our nations sons and daughters are growing up believing exactly that, they are not privy to the information at a young age that all human beings are foul able even the adults, even their parents. People if you served in the United States Military you took an oath to up-hold the constitution to protect our nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic, you assumed the position of honor and agreed to act with integrity, honor and respect. If you are a parent, a man, or a woman then You should be leading the fight our nation has no greater enemy than our own arrogant discontent, our lack of morals and honor.

If you did not serve in our Great US Military, this does not exempt you for your duty as an American, a human being to do what is right and just. We need to teach our youth today there are consequences’ to every action both good and bad. It is easy to sit around grumbling about what this person did or what that person did, it is always someone else’s fault, well some times it is and it is your job to hold them accountable for their actions, but sometimes it is our own fault and it is your job and everyone else’s to hold you accountable.

We can fix any problem no matter how big or how small, we can go back to the glory years of old, by going back to the old traditions of Honor, Respect, Courage, Responsibility, and Accountability. This is how we build this great republic.

This by no means will be an easy task, we will all need to work at it we will not be perfect at it, but then again we never were.

Live your life without fear.

Ryan
